On October 27th, 2022, the Baker-Polito Administration and the MassCyberCenter at the MassTech Collaborative hosted the 2022 Massachusetts Cybersecurity Forum, part of Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month. Focused on the theme of Leading a Secure and Inclusive Commonwealth, the Forum highlighted the launch of CyberTrust Massachusetts, a new statewide initiative to enhance resiliency and continue the development of a diverse talent pipeline in Massachusetts. It also featured a session on the efforts to improve cybersecurity in manufacturing. The event closed with a tour of the future cyber range facility at Bridgewater State University.
Three grants were announced during this year's Forum - a $1,086,476 grant to support the launch of CyberTrust Massachusetts and a separate investment, totaling $2,662,995, to support the establishment of two facilities to bolster workforce and security, including awards to Bridgewater State University ($1,200,000) and to Springfield Technical Community College ($1,462,995) for a project housed at Springfield’s Union Station.
