Host an event during Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month
Join your fellow cybersecurity stakeholders, educational institutions, and businesses and host an event during Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month, held during October of each year. This is an opportunity to showcase your organization’s capabilities and offerings or to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity. Potential event ideas include: raising cybersecurity awareness in your community by hosting cybersecurity 101; creating a capture the flag or poster competition; discussing cybersecurity practices over a lunch and learn. The options are endless!

Join the Massachusetts Cybersecurity Workforce
Are you looking for a cybersecurity job or internship in Massachusetts? Checkout the Cybersecurity Jobs Board for a listing of open cybersecurity jobs and internships in the Commonwealth, as well as remote positions affiliated with Massachusetts organizations.
A listing of organizations currently approved to post jobs can be found here; employers for these organizations can manage their profile and manually post positions according to these instructions. Organizations that are not currently approved but want to have their jobs posted on the jobs board should complete this form.
Provide mentors for the Cybersecurity Mentorship Program
Help build the next generation of the workforce by becoming a mentor to an undergraduate cybersecurity student. The Cybersecurity Mentorship Program matches diverse cybersecurity undergraduate college students with a mentor from the cybersecurity industry. The goal of this program is to expand the diversity of the cybersecurity talent pool in Massachusetts. Companies may encourage their employees to apply to serve as mentors in this program when applications are open for spring and fall cycles.

Support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Activities
The MassCyberCenter is proud to partner with the Massachusetts STEM Advisory Council to expand access to high-quality STEM education for students across the Commonwealth. Follow their website to find out more about upcoming events including STEM Week.
Participate in a Local Chamber of Commerce
Become a member and get involved with a local Chamber of Commerce to connect with other local businesses and raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity. A listing of Chambers of Commerce in Massachusetts can be found here.
Volunteer to be a cybersecurity advisor for your municipality
Share your knowledge with your community by reaching out to your municipal leadership and seeing if there is a way you can volunteer or help create a cybersecurity committee. Spread the word about the Municipal Toolkit!
Author an Op-ed or Awareness Piece for a Local Newspaper
Contribute to a local newspaper or media outlet to increase public awareness of cybersecurity threats and best practices while establishing yourself as a trusted resource in the cybersecurity field.
Share Resources with Your Employees
The MassCyberCenter created the Life’s Work on the Go resource to educate citizens on cybersecurity best practices and tips for how to collaborate with others to protect their information from cybersecurity threats when spending time online at home.
