The MassCyberCenter is working with our public and private partners through the Cyber Resilient Massachusetts Working Group to identify resources for individuals to use and share to address cybersecurity concerns surrounding the global COVID-19 outbreak.
Cyber adversaries look for opportunities in uncertain times to launch a scam or sneak into a network. For example, we have seen false links purporting to be related to the COVID-19 crisis to lure a “click," which downloads malware, and we have seen distributed denial of services or DDOS attacks against key government web sites.
REMINDER: Always consult trusted resources for information. The best source of authoritative information on COVID-19 in Massachusetts is https://www.mass.gov/covid19, where you can find situation updates and important guidance on prevention and treatment.
Additionally, the MassCyberCenter compiled Telework Cybersecurity Tips for municipal leaders and employees, which can also be helpful for citizens and students working or studying from home.
The MassCyberCenter will update this page as resources become available.
