Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month highlights broad audiences -- educational institutions, businesses, R&D centers, policy leaders, investors and technology groups -- that come together in the Massachusetts cybersecurity ecosystem. This ecosystem makes Massachusetts a national cybersecurity leader and enables the state's citizens and economy to thrive in the face of growing threats. Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month is held concurrently with National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
The 2024 theme of the Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month was “Secure Our Data. Secure Our Future.” underscoring the critical connection between safeguarding personal information and ensuring long-term security and prosperity.
We can all secure our future by following best practices--using unique passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), updating software to the latest release, “thinking” before clicking, and reporting suspicious activity. By doing so, we protect ourselves and our data from hackers and cybercriminals. Learn more here about how to be smart and safe online.
Governor Maura Healey signed an official proclamation on behalf of the Commonwealth to formally announce Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month and kick off the, “Secure Our Data. Secure Our Future.” initiative. Read the official proclamation (PDF) HERE or click on the image on the right.
