Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month highlights broad audiences such as educational institutions, businesses, R&D centers, policy leaders, investors and technology groups that come together in the Massachusetts cybersecurity ecosystem. This ecosystem makes Massachusetts a national cybersecurity leader and enables the state's citizens and economy to thrive in the face of growing threats. Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month is held concurrently with National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
The 2026 theme of the Massachusetts Cybersecurity Month, “Building a Cyber-Strong Massachusetts” emphasizes the commitment to strengthening cybersecurity awareness, resilience and collaboration across communities, businesses and government.
We can all maintain a secure online posture by following best practices: using unique passwords, passkeys, and multifactor authentication (MFA), updating software to the latest release, “thinking” before clicking, utilizing endpoint detection and response software, and reporting suspicious activity.
